PE Teaching
Hall Star Education provides specialist PE teaching for early years, KS1 and KS2 classes. We cover the breadth of the curriculum, including dance, gymnastics, fundamental movement skills, invasion and target games, athletics and striking and fielding games.
Our inclusive approach is designed to ensure every child leaves primary school with a positive attitude towards PE encouraging life-long physical activity. By adopting a multi-skills approach we ensure children experience a wide range of activities which build confidence and self-esteem. PE delivery should be more than just coaching sport and plays a pivotal role in developing well-rounded children, from developing communication, team-work and problem solving skills to promoting leadership and resilience.
In addition to the PE teaching options outlined below you will also receive a range of services including mental health training and first aid at no extra cost.
PPA
Your teachers can leave their class in the hands of our capable coaches and teachers, freeing them to carry out essential planning, preparation and assessment duties.
CPD
We use our CPD provision to work side by side with your teachers, increasing their confidence in delivery varied, engaging and high-quality PE lessons. We work with senior leaders and PE coordinators to agree a structured CPD programme, making the best use of school funds. We give teachers the opportunity to observe our specialists through which they'll gain practical ideas for warm ups, skills development and structured games, which they can then later deliver with guidance and support. We also help teachers to address the extra challenges that often arise during a typical PE lesson, including behaviour management, risk assessment and differentiation.
School Games Mark
The School Games Mark is a government led scheme that rewards schools on their commitment to developing and promoting physical activity and competition. We have successfully supported schools with the application process, particularly their efforts to provide a varied and engaging extra-curricular programme, increasing overall engagement with additional sporting opportunities in the process.
